The best retreats on earth

I was thinking back to last summer’s Luxury Beach Camp retreat and how different it was to give Reiki treatments there and also how the group learnt their Reiki I level after being attuned at Riad Zamzam. On a Reiki course in the UK, there is definitely a shift in energy after the attunement has [...]

This article resonates with me as we feel so connected in this way in the Sahara desert on retreat. Our Berber team are so ‘grounded’ and of course they walk often barefoot across the sands. This was intuitively why we felt the need to take people to these beautiful places and here is an article [...]

At the end of the long day's walk under the searing Moroccan sun, across endless expanses of sand, the Berbers slowed their camel and stopped. We had arrived at the camp that was to be our home for the night. I was hot and tired after following in the nomads' footsteps, and desperate to cool off. This was the joy of the week I spent on a new "nomadic beach retreat", walking a stretch of coastline between Essaouira and Agadir with a tribe of Tuareg Berbers.

"Perfect beach retreat"
Zamzam never disappoints me and a fantastic start to the beach retreat. Started with a relax, haman and excellent food, comfy bed and long nights sleep. Headed to the beach with lunch at a trendy restaurant and then beach walk to first nights camp. Unbelievable how quickly you are away from the hussle and bustle to fantastic views from the cliffs and secluded beaches and coves. Luxury camping which felt like zamzam but on the beach, the same high quality of food and bedding! Days filled with walking, yoga and massages, evenings relaxed with gorgeous morrocan food, music and camp fires. A few days felt like a complete recharge of the mind and body which normally takes a week. Back to Zamzam for more yoga, cooking classes and anything which you want, nothing too much effort and always high class. Perfect.
Jacolyn Ferguson - HR Director, Priory GroupA Special Place
Every once in a while you find yourself somewhere so special, surrounded buy such wonderful people, that your heart breaks a little when it comes time to leave. Riad ZamZam is such a place. Emma and Marcus are the perfect hosts and their warm and friendly staff helped to make our stay exceptional. Thank you all for a perfect long weekend.
The Riad itself is an oasis of calm set a away from the hubbub of the Souks. The rooms are beautiful and the common areas tastefully designed for relaxation and socialising. The food was authentic, vibrant and fresh. I could go on, but you get the idea, I really liked it.
I'd love to come back, but fear if I do, I may never leave :-)
Alex Hunt - LondonSpa and Cleanse Retreat
I love this riad for its high quality of luxury accomodation, fine food and excellent staff. This visit was for the retreat and it was by far the best I have experienced, and I have been to most well known spas worldwide. It went from detox juicing, yoga by exceptional teacher, healthy delicious food to various massages which included deep tissue, hot stone, reflexology and every other pampering you can imagine.
Reiki & meditation to start and finish the day resulting in the most relaxed tranquil feeling in a short period of time. A presentation on foods that heal which may have changed my life for good. An experience not to be missed and one to be repeated - I hope!
